Right to Information Act No. 12 of 2016
The Right to Information Act, No. 12 of 2016, is an Act enacted to provide the public with access to information. This Act was passed by Parliament on 24 June 2016. This Act came into force for ministries and state authorities from 03 February 2017.
Through the Right to Information Act, you can obtain the information you need and file appeals in accordance with the provisions of the Act. For this, you can seek assistance from the following officials and the Information Commission.

Submitting a Request to the Information Officer

- If you are not satisfied with the information received in response to your request for information, you can file an appeal to the designated officer through an appeal form (RTI 10) or letter.
